200 Kolektor Seni Rupa Top Dunia 2017


Jack Ma, pendiri dan pemilik alibaba.com yang telah mendunia. Salah satu orang terkaya di Chna ini juga adalah seorang kolektor seni rupa "kelas paus".

DUA ratus kolektor seni rupa papan atas dunia dirilis oleh Artnews—sebuah majalah seni rupa yang berkedudukan di Amerika Serikat—bulan Oktober ini. Daftar para kolektor tersebut disusun berdasarkan pada besaran angka yang dikeluarkan dan ditransaksikan untuk mendapatkan karya seni dalam kurun waktu satu tahun terakhir ini.

Para kolektor tersebut berasal dan tersebar di 33 negara di lima benua. Amerika Utara (Amerika Serikat dan Kanada) masih mendominasi populasi kolektor “kelas paus” ini dengan 113 nama kolektor, mengatasi 54 nama kolektor yang berasal dari Eropa. Berikutnya, Asia, menempatkan 24 nama kolektor, Amerika Latin 7 nama, serta Australia dan Afrika masing-masing satu nama kolektor. Indonesia sendiri memiliki 2 nama kolektor yang masuk dalam daftar 200 nama tersebut, yakni masing-masing Haryanto Adikoesoemo, dan Budi Tek Rahardjo.

Sementara bila merujuk pada latar belakang datangnya dana dari para kolektor ini, Artnews memilah dalam 10 jenis sumber dana orang-orang kaya tersebut. Latar belakang sumber dana para kolektor ini, bila diurutkan dari yang paling banyak prosentasenya masing-masing adalah: berasal dari bisnis keuangan (finance) sebanyak 39,5%, lalu disusul para kolektor yang berbisnis properti atau disebut oleh Artnews sebagai “real estate” sebanyak 17%. Kemudian disusul bisnis fashion 9,5%, consumer goods (barang-barang konsumsi) 7%. Ada pula dana tersebut merupakan berasal dari philanthropy atau upaya untuk berderma, sebanyak 7%, technology 6%, inheritance (warisan) 5,5%, media and publishing 4.5%, dan dari bisnis hiburan (entertainment) 4%.

Dari 200 nama kolektor besar tersebut, menurut Artnews, ada 18 nama baru yang masuk yang tidak ada dalam daftar yang dirilis setahun sebelumnya. Ada pula, di antara 18 nama itu, merupakan nama yang kembali masuk setelah setahun lalu terlempar dari 200 Besar.

Nama-nama besar yang sudah sangat popular di dunia masuk atau masih bertahan dalam 200 nama kolektor “kelas paus” tersebut. Sebut saja misalnya Roman Abramovich, pengusaha baja dan tambang asal Rusia, yang juga pemilik klub sepakbola Liga Primer, Chelsea FC. Kekayaan Abramovich pada tahun 2017 diperkirakan ada 11,1 miliar dolar, tidak termasuk asset kekayaan Dasha Zhukova, juga seorang kolektor yang masuk daftar 200 Besar—yang resmi bercerai dengan Abramovich tahun 2017 ini. Pria Rusia ini, dalam setahun terakhir ini mengoleksi karya lukisan triptych (terdiri dari 3 panel) karya Francis Bacon seharga 86 juta dolar, dan karya Lucian Freud yang dibelinya 33,6 juta dolar. 

Ada pula Jack Ma, salah satu orang terkaya China yang juga pendiri situs e-commerce terbesar dunia, Alibaba.com. Jack Ma saat ini disebut-sebut banyak mengoleksi karya-karya seni modern dan kontemporer. Pun ada nama pasangan suami-istri Miuccia dan Patrizio Bertelli Prada. Dari namanya sudah terlacak bahwa pasangan ini adalah pemilik rumah mode kelas dunia, Prada. Pasangan yang membesarkan bisnisnya di Milan, Italia ini terbilang awet duduk di daftar 200 kolektor seni rupa “kelas paus”, yakni selama 13 tahun terakhir sejak tahun 2005. Selain pasangan Prada yang telah 13 tahun berturut-turut masuk dalam daftar 200 kolektor top dunia, ada juga pasangan penerbit buku berlevel dunia, Taschen. Pasangan Lauren dan Benedikt Taschen ini telah mengoleksi sekian banyak karya seniman dunia, antara lain karya Albert Oehlen, Jeff Koons, Martin Kippenberger, dan nama seniman top dunia lainnya.

 Nama-nama beken lain yang masuk dalam daftar ini antara lain analis keuangan Alexandra and Steven A. Cohen.

Lalu, siapa kolektor Indonesia yang masuk dalam grup kolektor elit dunia ini? Yang pertama adalah Budi Tek Rahardjo. Budi Tek, yang “baru” memulai mengoleksi karya seni tahun 2004 telah 6 tahun terakhir ini (sejak tahun 2012) masuk dalam 200 kolektor seni rupa dunia. Koleksinya kini diperkirakan lebih dari 1.500 karya, yang ditempatkan di museum pribadinya, Yuz Museum, yang ada di Jakarta dan Shanghai—tempatnya berbisnis. Di Yuz Museum Shanghai yang seluas 90.000 kaki, Tek banyak memajang karya berukuran besar. Di antaranya adalah karya perupa kontemporer China, Xu Bing yang berjudul “Tobacco Project”. Karya tersebut adalah sebuah seni instalasi sepanjang sekitar 12 meter dengan materi terdiri dari setengah juta rokok .

Satu nama kolektor Indonesia, siapa lagi kalau bukan Haryanto Adikoesoemo. Haryanto dalam 2 tahun terakhir ini masuk dalam daftar 200 Kolektor Top Dunia versi Artnews ini. Saat ini dia tengah sibuk menyiapkan pembukaan secara resmi museumnya, yakni Museum MACAN (Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art) di Jakarta. Rencananya akan resmi dibuka bulan November 2017 ini, dan melibatkan Aaron Seeto sebagai direktur museum. Seeto adalah mantan manajer kuratorial pada bagian Seni Asian dan  Pacific di Queensland Art Gallery, Australia. Koleksi seni Haryanto tidak main-main, di antaranya karya perupa dunia semacam Jeff Koons, Gerhard Richter, dan tentu saja para maestro Indonesia seperti Affandi dan sekian banyak nama lainnya.
